The RJ45 waterproof Quick Connect+ Coupler allows the connection of Sensors, Alarms, DOM’s and Beacons as part of the AX60+ Platform to a CDU, or by daisy chaining other devices.
The difference between this product, and the standard RJ45 coupler that you get with your Ax60+, is that these couplers are fully waterproof, with an IP68 rating, meaning they can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes without issue.
The connection between the two RJ45 cables is encased in a plastic protective chamber. This means that accidental disconnects are virtually impossible which in turn, would reduce system downtime.
As the device is waterproof, it can be placed in environments which are regularly hosed down or pressure washed. As well as the environmental factor, it will reduce the likelihood of communications faults due to corrosion of the RJ45 connections.
The RJ45 coupler can be separated out into 5 parts, enabling you to get the best waterproof seal possible.
